Luncheons for January, 2010

Hank Gilbert, Democratic Candidate for Agriculture Commissioner

Monday, January 11th, 2010

After campaigning briefly for the governor’s slot, Hank Gilbert withdrew from that race, endorsed Farouk Shami’s gubernatorial candidacy, and filed for Ag Commissioner. Considered by some observers to be the most progressive Democrat to announce for statewide office thus far, Hank ran an exciting race for Ag Commissioner in 2006 against the do-nothing, self-aggrandizing incumbent, Todd Staples. Hank is an entertaining and colorful speaker, and you’re sure to enjoy the program.
