Time to get the facts, end the hateful fear mongering, and have a discussion on law enforcement and immigration in Travis County!

Our speakers will be Sheriff Sally Hernandez, State Rep. Eddie Rodriguez, Councilmember Greg Cesar, and Matt Simpson fron the ACLU.

Unless you have been traveling on an Elon Musk flight to Mars, you probably noticed some recent attention to immigration issues in Travis County. Sheriff Sally Hernandez adopted a rational, common-sense, humane policy limiting cooperation with deportation-happy federal authorities. Naturally, therefore, Gov. Abbott and Pres. Bannon-Trump have opposed the policy, preferring the cheap politics of anti-immigrant demagoguery. The County, the City, and our legislative delegation have united to defend our local policies and values, our immigration community, and indeed the United States Constitution against the anti-immigrant, anti-American assault. But the disputes appear likely to proceed through the Legislature and the courts. Come hear this great panel of wonderful leaders address these critically important issues.
